i need to find a new home for a turtle how do i do this?

Check with some of your friends. My son had a Gecko lizard that we had to find a home for and he gave him to a friend. That was 7 years ago and his friend still has him. Worked out fine and my son gets to keep tabs on "Mattie" the Gecko. You may also put an ad in the classifieds of your local newspaper.

it depends, if a turtle loses it's shell, is it naked or homeless? joke! I would go to the local animal shelter or the local vets and ask if you can put up flyers, Turtle free. has own home!. or something like that. You might also check with the local elememtary schools, some times the science teachers have quiet animals in their rooms, my son's 2nd grade teacher had a ball python named Martin.
