how is the cobra and the cottonmouth alike how are they different?

also cobras have fixed front fangs that are relatively small while cottonmouths have retractable fangs that are much larger..
they are both venomous cotten mouth is a viperidae and cobras are elapidae vipers have infrared heat pits cottenmouths are found only in the usa cobras are found in africa and other places in asia vipers have hemotoxin and elapidaes have neurotoxic
They're both venomous snakes. The cobra can kill with it's bite , while water moccasin's venom is not usually fatal to humans(it can be @ times) Cobra venom stops your breathing while the moccasin's venom causes massive tissue damage due to bleeding. Moccasins are mostly found around water, while cobras are field %26 forest snakes. Lastly, there are no cobras in the new world,while moccasin type snakes can be found world-wide.
